The UCaaS market is rich in opportunity, which leads to many providers entering the fray. How can you stand out in a field that is already crowded, and looks to be more so in the coming years?
Build a presence on the Internet in the form of a website. These are readily available and no longer take a degree in computer programming to construct. According to Capital One, of 400 small businesses surveyed, only 56 percent had websites. This is a great way to set yourself apart from others. Even in small communities, a proper website matters more than a community page.
Next, use social media to humanize your business. Build a Facebook page (free) and be present on LinkedIn (free). You should also consider a Twitter (free) feed and/or an Instagram account (free). Use these avenues to show your employees, your business, and make yourselves out to be welcoming, happy, and knowledgeable.
Show That You are The Expert
Now that you have a few ways to communicate, start to present yourself as experts in the field. Write blogs on your website that are relevant to your present and potential clients. Use your Instagram to show the work your technicians are doing and maybe even have a hashtag for especially well done cable management or installations. Give the world examples of what you do and why you’re the best at it.
Keep Current Customers Loyal
Often, companies focus more on potential business to the detriment of current customers. Your most vocal supporters and detractors will come from those you have done business with, so be sure to spend some time focusing on retaining customers and growing those relationships.
